He is best remembered as the Commander of forces in Kosovo. He also commmanded UN peacekeeping missions in Bosnia and Herzegovina. Lee Durrell is the Honorary Director of the Durrell Wildlife Conservation Trust at Les Augres Manor, Jersey. She is a naturalist, author, zookeeper and television presenter, and was the wife of the late Gerald Durrell.
